Up for sale is a VERY RARE Vintage BUM PHILLIPS Coach Houston Oilers Signed BBQ Hat Swinging Door. If you're a collector of Houston Oilers stuff, this is the listing you've been waiting for. An item that you'll probably never see again and no one else would have. So, what's really cool about this hat, is if you look on the history page of the Swinging Door BBQ, you'll see that the Oilers use to go there once a week, to eat and drink, as a team. So, based on the styling of this hat, i'm assuming it's from that era. I've personally never seen a hat with the design on the back straps of these two. I'm throwing in the brown hat, because i think it's just as cool and as old, and someone might want to wear that one, since the other, i'd assume, is for display. I'd guess these are from the 70's or 80's, based on when the team went there, but this could have been later, if he continued to go there later on. The brown hat is KC brand and the white doesn't have a brand, but says 100% cotton on it. They both have some wear as you'd expect with the age, but the white signed one, the autograph looks perfect for the age to me. It's clear and easy to read. It isn't authenticated, but his signature is pretty obvious and easy to tell, in my opinion. The white does have some yellowing, but still looks good. The brown hat looks good, but does have a light stain on the 2 o's in the word door. I really hope these find a good home, because this is a cool part of history, that someone who appreciates it, should get a chance to hold on to and pass on. You'll probably never see one again.
