    Description

Here we have an oscilloscope made by Sylvania in the 1940's for testing radios.  It is the vacuum tube type, and appears in good condition.  I see no indication where any of the components or wiring has been hot or burned. There are a few small patches of surface rust on the outside, but none in the inside or on the chassis.  The surface rust spots occurred from sitting on a shelf in the garage for years.  When I acquired it many years ago, I was afraid to plug it in as the power cord was entirely shot-- so I cut it off and was intending on replacing it when I overhauled the unit.  However, time as flown, and I am almost 74 yrs. old and have lots of other things to do prior to overhauling this unit.  I wouldn't even think of plugging it in until all of the old paper capacitors were changed.  Also included is an original manual on the unit.  Please notice that the thin plastic overlay grid is ruined from the effects of a deteriorated sponge-rubber gasket, and the overlay would need to be replaced.  This unit should be professionally packed like by FedEx, which the lucky buyer would need to pay.  Also, the buyer pays actual shipping, and there is no handling charge other than the packing.  Any excess shipping paid by the buyer is immediately refunded.  Please email any questions.  Thanks.
