ca 1910 NWH cigar box Leader of Lebanon Valley brand Hummelstown PA cigar maker

Description

This nailed wooden cigar box with metal hinges was made for
Leader of Lebanon Valley brand cigars (50 count), and the cigars
were produced at Factory #2918 in the 9th District of Pennsylvania,
by J. P. Bordner of Hummelstown, Dauphin County, PA.  Probably dates
to around 1910 or so.
Condition is "Used".  Obvious stain on top,  a little bit of the tax stamp is
missing at the front and back of the lid, hinges intact and operating,
inner paper soiled, repair on the top of the lefthand end panel (glue is
evident on the inside of the box, but otherwise well done repair),
factory ID and caution label well-struck on box.
