    Simple, Isn’t It?
You’re looking at about the only moving parts in a single-cylinder JAWA. For its two-stroke design
is based on simplicity — no timing gears, camshafts, push-rods, rocker arms, valves, valve springs
nor valve guides to wear out. Just three moving parts here: a piston, rod and flywheel. (Well, there’s
four, if you really want to get technical and count the wrist-pin that joins the piston and connecting
rod). Then there's a relative handful of bearings that support the crankshaft and connecting rod.
But that’s about all, so you’re money and miles ahead with a JAWA. (If you’re interested in a twin-
cylinder JAWA, don’t count on only three moving parts. Add another piston and connecting rod,
for a total of five — unless you want to count that extra wrist-pin!).
